MTYuZ presents the most famous fairy-tale of the 20th century.
This is a tale about the warmth of one’s own home and the coolness that a free wind brings. It is a tale about how, after visiting the most distant countries and engaging in the most fantastic of adventures, you still want to return home.
Here is what awaits you in this show:
A fairy-tale
About eternal youth
About real friendship
The birth of love
Boyish courage
A mother’s tenderness
Flights to beautiful stars
A mysterious tropical island
Dizzy adventures
Dangerous battles
Angry pirates
And a crocodile.
“As soon as the flying boy appears, everything turns upside-down. The cupboards become jungle bushes, the balcony becomes a ship called ‘The Merry Roger’ and behind the window in place of the city you see a jungle of enormous, unusual flowers. Life in the jungle is more fun than at home: you can fly (and, indeed, the actors actually do fly gloriously as if in the circus), you can play with the moon and fight with the pirates. Moreover, you can explore life and discover the meaning of independence.”
Alisa Nikolskaya, Teatralnaya kassa
“The three hours of the production fly by with the speed of a single act in the circus – endless disguises, acrobatic tricks, flights on special flying devices…. Children are thrilled – the logic of the action duplicates the logic of their games and, in spite of the seeming absurdities, every child will find this show accessible and comprehensible.”
